hello again
Things were going nowhere for a while – or at least that’s how it felt – stuck, in limbo, freeze.
After that few months of mulching and filtering, slow and not exactly steady but still here – now there is momentum. It’s freakin’ fabulous – things are moving, FAST! I’m in not one but two accelerators – just did the HEX one day “accelerateHER” with the amazing Jeanette Cheah who totally rocks and gave so much clarity on the founder process and just that shake of the snowdome that made things land in a different way. Incredibly generous with her experience and insight, I totally recommend the HEX program to anyone, younger and elder! It’s never too early or too late to become a creative entrepreneur. That is something I have finally accepted, it really is the way of the future that we take agency in our lives.
So, here we go almost ready to pitch! Yes, the solarpunk bibliotherapy course is evolving and I am working on a quiz for you to find out what kind of solarpunk you are – that will gather useful input and offer a quick snapshot of the curated stories I am basing the course on. Stay tuned to find out more.
I’ve been geeking out on platforms and processes, so much to share and still to learn. Ghost, Obsidian, Affinity, a few of the newer tools in my toolbox – newsletter/blog/podcast, note taking and markdown, design, illustrate and publish – this will all make sense in time. I have a steep learning curve with them all.
The most exciting thing right now is that I am part of the enterprize “Elevate” program, a 12 week accelerator based in Tasmania (Hobart/Launceston) with a small cohort (I think 12 of us) from all around Australia. Got to meet the fabulous Eva at the HEX event yesterday, we shared a desk and lots of notes.
Making that shift from artist brain to creative entrepreneur thinking is quite a process, I feel like is coming to a point of clarity now. After two rounds of sister school with Global Sisters, and my wonderful momentum coach Linda – highly recommend the Psyche-K process for aligning subconscious beliefs and goals, that has really supercharged me and been truly transformational.
I have so many coaches at the moment it’s hilarious – really does help to push the needle or move the dial. Jen from Digital Dandy gave fantastic reflections and a crystal clear overview of the digital presence I need to synthesise from all my kaleidoscopic fragments scattered all over the web. Gather them up, dust them off and give them a polish, spin it into a new frame. Fleur who comes to me via Business Tasmania is a wonderful boutique accountant and helped me check in on the systems I need to set up. Signed on with hnry for freelance accounting – I know that will make all the difference to my future tax.
Katie also with Global Sisters gave me an incredible quick rundown on the psychology of persuasion using the SCARF model and another one I forget right now (will have to excavate from my notes) – still need to watch the videos she sent before our next meeting tomorrow.
So that is a brief check-in, there is a lot to unpack and it will all become clear very soon!
Looking forward to inviting you along on this amazing solarpunk journey with me, to imagine and create a more hopeful future together.
